Please see below a timeline to show this years option process.

Letter home to parents and carers to inform them the options process will start this half term.
Wednesday
12th March
Options Assembly – Launch.  Mrs Wilson will explain the options process to all pupils and a timeline of events.
Monday
17th March
Extended assembly for all Year 9.  Subject leaders from option subjects that are new to KS4 will speak about their subjects to help inform all pupils.
Wednesday
19th March
Options Assembly – How to fill out the options form.
Thursday
20th March
Drop-in session for parents and carers to talk to teachers about option subjects.  3.15-4.15pm in the canteen.  Light refreshments will be provided. 
Friday
21st  March
Options form & options booklet issued to all students.
Friday
28th  March
Options form deadline.  All choices must be made and forms returned to form teachers by this date.
Whilst making GCSE subject choices, it is good to consider how these subjects could link to future pathways in learning and work.
The BBC Bitesize website has information on job related to different subjects
Career pilot is a great place to start with exploring careers.  Use the job sectors area to look into different industries or  Start with a Subject  (e.g. History, Business etc) to see related jobs.
iCould is a website with lots of advice guides for parents and students, but also has a large video collection of people sharing their career stories.  You can search this by subject, industry or job role.
