We are very privileged, as one of only four schools nationwide, to have been invited to take part in the exciting Burberry Inspire Project. This 4 year long programme will see every pupil in Key Stage 3 have the opportunity to visit one of four exciting cultural organisations, starting with The Hepworth this year. We will also have an Artist in Residence who will work with our staff to enrich and broaden pupil experience of the creative arts.
Pupils in years 7, 8 & 9 are bringing home a letter regarding The Burberry Inspire Project and data sharing with King's College London.
For the length of this project, we will work with King’s College London, who will look at the effectiveness of the project. In order to measure the success of Burberry Inspire, pupils will be asked to complete a short survey twice a year.
Further information is on the letter from King’s College, including the type of data which will be collected and shared with them. However please note that no information will be made available which can identify individual pupils outside of King’s College and Airedale Academy.
If you are happy for information to be shared, you do not need to do anything. If you do not want information to be shared, please complete, sign and return the letter to school by Tuesday 8th January 2018. If you would like an additional copy of this letter, please ask your child to collect one from student reception.
Information about this project can also be found on the Burberry Inspire Press Release on this link https://www.burberryplc.com/en/news-and-media/press-releases/responsibility/2018/the-burberry-foundation-launches-first-in-school-arts-and-cultur.html
