Y11 students and dedicated staff gave up some of their half term holiday for revision, mud and a healthy dose of ambition! Pupils took part in an English and Maths residential at Herd Farm funded by NCOP as part of our commitment to support pupils to achieve their very best in their exams and to aspire to higher education.

Day 1 consisted of in-depth revision sessions, with some mud and fresh air thrown in too. Day 2 featured more mud, a team meal and two daring, tree top activities. This trip was about bravery - stepping up and out of our comfort zones - as well as consolidating skills learnt in core lessons.

Families, you should be so proud of your children, who acted as real ambassadors for the Academy. The kindness, patience and tenacity they showed in team building games and sharing a meal was phenomenal. Well done, Year 11!
